Deri Reed, Food Editor

Deri Reed is a seasoned food editor based in New York City with a copyeditor’s eye for detail, project manager’s organizational skills, and professional editor’s diplomacy. She has extensive experience both copyediting and editing cookbooks and a solid understanding—start to finish—of what is required to produce an outstanding book.

She recently copyedited the award-winning Zahav by Michael Solomonov, and The Del Posto Cookbook by Mark Lardner. 

In addition to her work with major publishers, Deri enjoys working with independent authors, with help in shaping cookbooks and memoirs, editing recipes, and copyediting.

Deri is a long-standing member of both the Editorial Freelancers Association and the New York Women's Culinary Alliance, and has served on the Board of the NYWCA since 2014.
