Deri Reed is a seasoned food editor based in New York City with a copyeditor’s eye, project manager’s organizational skills, and professional editor’s diplomacy. She has extensive experience both copyediting and editing cookbooks and a solid understanding—start to finish—of what is required to produce an outstanding book.

As an editor and copyeditor for print, Deri specializes in health/nutrition/diet and chef cookbooks and truly enjoys the challenge of organizing and rectifying complicated, interrelated recipes, menus, and shopping lists. As a developmental and line editor, she has worked closely with both first-time and experienced authors to create compelling cookbooks that maintain and celebrate the author’s voice.
