Deri Reed is a seasoned food editor based in New York City with a copyeditor’s eye, project manager’s organizational skills, and professional editor’s diplomacy. She has extensive experience both copyediting and editing cookbooks and a solid understanding—start to finish—of what is required to produce an outstanding book.

Deri’s web experience includes eight years with www.cookingvillage.com, along with work for the customer service website of International Masters Publishers. She currently produces, writes, and deploys the Cooking e-newsletter for IMP and manages the content of GrandmasKitchen.com.

As an editor and copyeditor for print, Deri specializes in health, nutrition, and diet cookbooks and truly enjoys the challenge of organizing and rectifying complicated, interrelated recipes, menus, and shopping lists. As a developmental and line editor, she has worked closely with both first-time and experienced authors to create compelling cookbooks that maintain and celebrate the author’s voice.
